Your professional Guide Mustapha

After my succeeded at the exam I had to join the institute of Tourism in Tanger city in 2016, where I got my Permission from the ministry of tourism in 2018, that they deliver to those who attend the institute, with a view of practicing guiding in Morocco. Since then, I started officially guiding In Morocco…

My name is Mustapha Taghlaoui, I was born in 1993 in a small remote village in the southeast of the kingdom of Morocco, I am a native Berber from a nomadic parents who decided to Seattle down in the little village where I was born so that I, my brothers, and sisters could go to school. At the age of six I joined primary school where I spent six years of studies, and then I was able to get my primary school degree at the age of twelve.

My life with education was divided normally into three stages after my primary school, so In order to continue my studies I had to depart my parents at that age, and leave my village of birth for the first time to move to Missisi village, another village which is more bigger than mine, It was the place where I had my middle school, I spent three years in Missisi where I obtained my middle school degree in 2009. My age after the three years in Mississi turned 15 years old.

Because of lack of high schools in Missici village, again the same story has to repeat itself for the second time in a different village with new and different people. The village is called Alnif. This latter is the only place that has a high school; it is like a centre of the whole area. I made new friends, who came to Alnif to study, they came from different middle schools of different villages around Alnif village the villages were just the same as Mississi village so they are not big enough to host the high school, and Other friends are native to Alnif village. I had a wonderful time in Alnif because at that stage I already had an experience similar so it was much easier to me. Though I was too young I used to take the responsibility and organize excursions and animate Groups of students of my high school almost every Sunday to the surrounding attractive sights of Alnif. In 2011, I got my “ Baccalaureate” a high school degree- at the age of 18 years old.

As a result, I was able to attend one of the biggest university of Morocco; the Ibno zorh Univesity in Agadir city. I had only spent three years in this city so in 2014 I earned my university degree from the English department, I studied literature, History, culture, and languages more than this we had a subject called world religion.
When I graduated from the University, I was confused about two options; either I should go further with my studies, to study a Master degree and PDH and so on… or I need just to Give up and find a job that will fit me. So if I go further with my studies I knew I would not be happy because I need a financial/Material and Moral support this is why I just chose the latter.
To find a job is another Issue that I found, because it was not easy to find a job in Morocco. I was asking myself what can I do with my degrees where I can practice What I have learned for several years. Some friends suggested to me working at the ministry of Education as a teacher, others were suggesting me to work at the call centers simply because they are requiring a good English some wanted me to work as a translator. But I am very passionate to work in the field of tourism. For this I would like to thank my brother- in-law Salem who supported my idea and encouraged me to work in this domain, basically because he was a tourist driver and he gained a many years of experience in tourism. He found that, it is the domain that would fit me. He showed me some hotels and camps that host tourists whom he knew they were looking for serious employee to hire. It was the way I could be in touch with tourists in order to improve my English, French, and acquire new foreign languages. I used to meet with tour guides that used to work from different travel agencies, who open their heart to me when I bombarded them with my questions because I was very passionate and enthusiast to apply to be a tour guide. hence, the guides helped me a lot and gave me the instructions on how to become an OFFICIAL TOUR GUIDE.

My life with tourists and guiding started since I was a little child and I do not even speak any foreign language I use to meet tourists who get lost in the desert then I use to guide them to the right road for a small cost. I am a brave and a courageous person, I like adventure though I was very little, some time the tourists used to pick me up from my village and they drop me at main road then I had to walk all the way back to my home.

Due to the instructions and the information I got from the tour guides I met at the hotels where I worked, I was able to know where and when I can apply to this post, luckily My candidacy was accepted and I got the chance to pass a written and oral exams, Thanks God I passed.

So after my succeeded at the exam I had to join the institute of Tourism in Tanger city in 2016, where I got my Permission from the ministry of tourism in 2018, that they deliver to those who attend the institute, with a view of practicing guiding in Morocco. Since then, I started officially guiding In Morocco.
My experience at tourism started with the small company to whom my brother –in- law works as a driver. He trained me well for being a professional guide we were together in my first tour of three days to the southeast of Morocco. He provided lot of information and tools I will need in my next adventure.
Immediately after this tour we took the second and the third and the fourth and so on and so forth always with Salem.
By the time, I was able to guide, animate, and taking care of big groups and I am taking long tours from several big companies. My duty is to make sure that every member of the group is enjoying the tour. So I am doing my job as it has to be done with lot of love and proficiency based on the witnesses of our lovely customers.
